Testing the $150 Roulette System

Last updated: 05.04.2024 by Andrew Shepard

The R150 roulette strategy is a popular stratagem that is used to try and bet on a solid bankroll and bet size. The idea behind the system is actually pretty simple. You are betting R150 across a number of different bets. Then, you hope that it works. However, there are more particularities to this strategy, and we are here to help you understand them a bit better.

How the $150 System Works

Right, before you actually bet $150 per single round of roulette, you need to familiarize yourself with the ins and outs of the $150 roulette strategy. Well, it’s as simple as it sounds. You are going to take a total of $150 and spread it across several wagers. You pick two of the Dozen bets and then choose 10 numbers from the last Dozen that wasn’t covered, betting R5 on each. This gives you around a 91.89% chance of winning when you are playing European roulette, as there are only three uncovered wagers. This is a pretty good percentage.

$150 System

Alright, but what could happen when each outcome materializes? Well, we have thought about this as well and will happily provide you with an answer. Here is what could happen when you use this particular strategy.

  • A Dozen bet wins: We break even during the round.
  • We win a straight-up bet: We have just won R30.
  • We lost: We are $150 in the red.

Right, but what does this mean in actual percentages? You have about 27.03% of making a profit in general. Oh, and if this system looks a little too familiar, this is because it’s more or less a variation of 24+8 which does the exact same thing. What’s changed here is that you are actually going to be running a much higher bet size each round. Alright, let’s see what happens in five rounds of $150 roulette strategy.

Example

  • Spin 1

We win the Dozen – it’s a push.

  • Spin 2

We win a straight-up bet. We are R30 ahead.

  • Spin 3

We win another straight-up. We are R60 in the black.

  • Spin 4

We hit one of the three losing numbers. We are down to R90 loss.

  • Spin 5

We hit one of the Dozen bets. It’s a push, so we are still at an R90 loss.

Testing Roulette $150 Strategy

To get a better idea of how this strategy works, and especially when comparing it to the 24+8 system, we have decided to run a simulation using Google Sheets. We have run the simulation for four players who start with an R1,000 bankroll and play over the course of 500 turns. Let’s see how the system holds up.

$150 Strategy to the Test

Our test was very interesting indeed. For starters, we saw a lot of profitable outcomes in the first rounds of the game. Player 1 peaked at about R1,120 before seeing a steady decline throughout the rest of the game. Player 2 did better at R1,210, and the best of them all was Player 3 who hit R1,480. Then, there was also Player 3 who hit R1,330. All in all, it was a series of really great outcomes for the players involved but that only lasted for more than a hundred rounds.

After 100 rounds, both Player 2 and Player 4 began a steady decline. Player 4, though, was surprisingly in the black until almost 400 rounds in the game. He hit the same peak almost twice and saw his bankroll soar really well.

Overall, the test was rather successful. It was a really good example of how the system can work. Yet, when we tested the 24+8 system, we saw somewhat worse results with players never quite maintaining such a level of profitability early on. We can conclude that tests play out based on luck as well.

In this case, only one player had a bad time, but it’s still a 1 in 4 chance to happen. Still, the early profitability of the system was definitely appealing.

What to Watch Out for in Roulette $150 Strategy

Just like any other strategy, $150 has some drawbacks that you need to be aware of before you start playing. For one, the strategy can go bad against you if you end up on a losing streak. Some losing streaks are almost impossible to recover from. It all comes down to the odds, unfortunately. Overall, the strategy does offer leeway for profitability, but you may want to know when to stop. If you suddenly pull ahead, it’s almost certainly time to stop, and if you see bankroll decline rapidly, by maybe R300, maybe it’s time to have a think if you can support further losses.

Final Words on $150 System for Roulette

All in all, $150 is a system that will fit many players. The greater risk you are taking will lead to some big rewards – or potentially quick losses. It’s a pendulum swing with this one, really, and you need to ask yourself if you are willing to take on this much risk that quickly. Of course, having seen our tests, you may have a basic idea of what to expect when you play.
